TMDcreative Honored at Third Annual Salute to Small Business Awards – Founder and President Nick Pasculli Selected as 2008 “Entrepreneur of the Year”

(SALINAS, CA) – Salinas-based marketing and design firm TMDcreative was honored yesterday as the 2008 "Entrepreneur of the Year" at the third annual Salute to Small Business awards program sponsored by Union Bank of California and KSBW-TV.

The Salute to Small Business awards program recognizes small businesses for their contributions to the economic health of the Monterey County region. To be eligible for the Salute to Small Business awards program, companies are required to be at least three years old with headquarters in Monterey County, independent and privately owned and have annual sales no greater than $5 million.

TMDcreative was nominated for the award by client, Anna Foglia, executive director of Sun Street Centers. Numerous other clients submitted letters of support on behalf of TMDcreative, including previous Salute to Small Business winner Alvarez Technology Group, BBR Certified Public Accountants, Central Coast Federal Credit Union, Chef Todd Food Concepts, Kinship Center, Kobrinsky Group, Mariani Packing Company, Meals on Wheels of the Salinas Valley, Monterey County Department of Social and Employment Services, Salinas Senior Center, YMCA of the Central Coast and Salinas Community YMCA.

Owner Nick Pasculli, who founded TMDcreative in 1999 said, "This is quite an honor for me and my outstanding team of creative professionals. We all love what we do, and being recognized for what you love is gratifying to say the least."

The awards were presented during a luncheon held at the Hyatt Regency Monterey Resort & Spa. The event featured a keynote speech by Aida Alvarez, former administrator of the U.S. Small Business Administration and member of President Clinton's Cabinet.

Union Bank Senior Vice President and Regional Manager Cynthia Rosenthal underscored the event's importance: "The small businesses we honor today enliven and enrich our community through their entrepreneurial spirit, and Union Bank of California is proud to spotlight their contributions.
