(SALINAS, CA) – In the month of May, TMD (The Marketing Department) in Salinas won six awards from the Summit International Awards (SIA), Visual Media Alliance (VMA) and the Communicator Awards for the designs of various marketing materials. The SIA honored TMD with two silver awards, one for their Frisco Farms’ Sales Kit, and the other for Naval Post Graduate School’s annual report. VMA awarded TMD with a silver award for Naval Post Graduate School’s annual report, a bronze award for Frisco Farms’ Sales Kit as well as a bronze award for California Agricultural Leadership Foundation Magazine, Horizons. From the 18th Annual Communicators Awards, TMD won a silver award of dinstinction for SSB Construction’s advertising campaign.
TMD competed against thousands of participants from 22 countries in the SIA and 225 participants in the VMA competition. Discriminating critics were highly impressed with TMD’s creativity. This year’s SIA panel of judges included professionals from top ad agencies all over the world. And with thousands of entries received from across the US and around the world, the Communicator Awards is the largest and most competitive awards program honoring the creative excellence for communications professionals.
“These awards are indicative of the quality and innovation we strive to achieve with all of our services. We are honored to be recognized by the industry and our peers as a creative leader,” says Nick Pasculli, President of TMD.
Dan Nelson, President of VMA agrees, “This was a great competition with a very impressive standard of entries. TMD should be very proud of their company’s achievement and the excellent work done by their employees.”
Bob Gray, President and CEO of California Agricultural Leadership Foundation, whose Horizons magazine was amongst the award-winning projects says, “Nick and his team are exceptionally empathetic and creative, which we learned only after we engaged them. We knew they were good at what they do, and that they understood our mission, we just didn’t know what that meant in practice. They have exceeded our expectations in every respect.”
The SIA administers three distinguished advertising and marketing award competitions throughout the year with the goal of raising the awareness of companies and individuals who have the creative and marketing talent to go beyond the ordinary. The VMA is a nonprofit trade association dedicated to recognizing the extraordinary ability of creative, web media, marketing and print businesses in Northern and Central California.
The Communicator Awards are judged and overseen by the International Academy of the Visual Arts (IAVA), a 550+ member organization of leading professionals from various disciplines of the visual arts dedicated to embracing progress and the evolving nature of traditional and interactive media.
